By using this website or booking services with Good Movers or Good Painters (“we,” “our,” or “us”), you agree to the following Terms of Use. Please read them carefully.

1. Services

We provide professional moving and painting services throughout Southern California. Services may include:

Good Movers Services:

  • Local and long-distance residential moving

  • Packing and unpacking of household items

  • Disassembly and reassembly of furniture as agreed

  • Loading and unloading with care and safety

  • Transportation of household goods, including boxes, fragile items, and large furniture

Good Painters Services:

  • Full interior and exterior painting for residential and small commercial properties

  • Surface preparation including cleaning, patching, sanding, and priming

  • Painting of walls, ceilings, trim, cabinets, and built-ins

  • Specialty finishes and accent walls

  • Optional consultation for color selection and design guidance

All services are subject to availability and scope as agreed upon at the time of booking. Estimates are based on information provided at scheduling and may be revised if new factors arise during inspection or preparation.

2. Rates and Payments

Good Movers Rates:

  • Standard rate: $150/hour for two movers and a truck

  • Additional movers or services, such as packing, disassembly, or specialty handling, may incur additional charges

  • Payment is due upon completion unless otherwise agreed in writing

Good Painters Rates:

  • Rates are based on project size, complexity, and required materials

  • Additional services, such as custom finishes, specialty coatings, or cabinet painting, may incur extra charges

  • Payment is due upon completion unless otherwise agreed in writing

General Payment Information:

  • Accepted payment methods include cash, major credit/debit cards, and approved digital transfers

  • Estimates and invoices may include detailed breakdowns of labor, materials, and additional services for transparency

  • Deposits may be required for large projects and are refundable with proper notice before work begins

3. Cancellations and Refunds

  • At least 48 hours’ notice is required for cancellations or rescheduling

  • Cancellations with less than 48 hours’ notice may incur a cancellation fee

  • Deposits collected are refundable if proper notice is provided and work has not started

  • Refunds for completed or partially completed work are evaluated on a case-by-case basis

  • Clients should notify us of any changes in scope, access, or special requirements as soon as possible to avoid delays or additional fees

4. Customer Responsibilities

Customers are responsible for:

  • Providing clear access to the property and all areas to be serviced

  • Securing necessary parking, permits, or HOA approvals

  • Being present or having a designated representative available during service

  • Notifying us in advance of unusually heavy, fragile, or hazardous items

  • Removing or protecting personal items as requested to facilitate safe and efficient work

  • Following our guidance regarding preparation for painting, such as removing wall décor, clearing surfaces, and protecting valuables

5. Limits of Liability

  • We are not responsible for damage to items that were not packed, prepared, or moved by our team

  • Delays caused by traffic, weather, unforeseen property conditions, or other uncontrollable factors are not our responsibility

  • Liability for damaged items is limited to the value agreed upon in writing prior to service. If no written agreement exists, liability is capped at $0.60 per pound per item (for moving) or as mutually agreed (for painting projects)

  • Good Movers & Good Painters maintain insurance coverage for operations, but homeowners should ensure adequate coverage for valuables and fragile items

  • We are not responsible for cosmetic imperfections, surface irregularities, or pre-existing damage that becomes visible after painting

6. Intellectual Property

  • All website content, including text, logos, and images, is the property of Good Movers and Good Painters and may not be copied, reproduced, or used without written permission

  • Customers may not reproduce or distribute our materials for commercial purposes without consent

7. Privacy

  • Customer information submitted through the website or consultation is used solely for scheduling, service delivery, and communication

  • We do not sell or share personal data with third parties for marketing purposes

8. Safety and Property Guidelines

  • We take all reasonable measures to protect your home, including covering furniture and floors, using drop cloths, and moving items as requested

  • Customers should ensure children and pets are kept safely away from work areas

  • Pre-existing damage, hazards, or delicate items should be reported before work begins to prevent disputes

  • For painting projects, clients should follow guidance on surface prep, furniture clearance, and ventilation for safety and optimal results

9. Updates to These Terms

  • We reserve the right to update these Terms of Use at any time

  • Continued use of our website or services after updates constitutes acceptance of the changes

  • Updated terms are effective immediately upon posting to the website
